Dicey (Adopted)
Dicey went to the groomers today so she is all clean and ready for spring! She runs with me every Saturday during half-marathon training runs with my local group. As the runs have gotten longer (11 miles last week) several people have commented on her endurance.... Little do they know that as soon as we get home she wants to play ball in the yard!
Clay
Time for my happy tails update:
I adopted Quaid from CBBCR in June 2010 (Lori foster mom). How that guy remained in foster care for more than 7 months defies reason! He is a super sweetie, a total love bug and a super Velcro dog. I was looking for a dog that would get along well with my 2 geriatric girls. Quaid has fit the bill, getting along marvelously with them and also 2 other dogs at my house, Clay and Ellie. He is a gentle spirit, a complete gentle puppy, allowing Ellie to chew on him and learn to play. Quaid is an awesome ambassador for the breed, he has accompanied me on numerous home visits, demonstrating what awesome companions BCs make!
I adopted Clay from CBBCR in April 2012 (Stephany foster mom). Clay had never lived in a house before he came to CBBCR. Clay has severe anxiety, working with him has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life - I have learned a lot about what makes him tick and a lot about myself in the process Winking face. He will never be a dog that I can pack up and take for an excursion, but that is absolutely fine with me. Seeing Clay happy and relaxed at home is everything that I could have ever hoped for! Clay and Quaid are bestest buddies, running and cavorting in the backyard, wrestling while I am on teleconferences with my colleagues. Clay tolerates Ellie, yet is very protective of her when Quaid gets too crazy in the backyard.
I have received outstanding support from Lori and Stephany when I have hit obstacles with the boys. CBBCR rocks!!
Best Regards, Dawn
Mira
Congrats to Mira, she found her fur-ever home yesterday, 3/31/2015. She will have a buddy, Jep a CBBCR alumni to romp and play with. Congrats to John, Becky and Mira!!!
Taylor
Congrats to Juno, she found her fur-ever home today, 3/24/15!!!! Congrats to Teri and Juno!!! :)
Fionn
It is the 1 year anniversary of Fionn's (aka Luca) adoption and we simply couldn't love him more! He is such a sweet boy that we call him "angel doggie".
Every night he snuggles right in between his mom and dad. Fionn and his big brother Mac are great friends and love to play tug of war together. Fionn tries to be just like his brother. He lives for fetch and is happy to put his toys on your face to get you to play. He has also become an amazing Frisbee player and loves scouting the backyard for squirrels.
We couldn't be happier that we get to share our lives with this sweetheart!
