Clay

Time for my happy tails update: I adopted Quaid from CBBCR in June 2010 (Lori foster mom). How that guy remained in foster care for more than 7 months defies reason! He is a super sweetie, a total love bug and a super Velcro dog. I was looking for a dog that would get along well with my 2 geriatric girls. Quaid has fit the bill, getting along marvelously with them and also 2 other dogs at my house, Clay and Ellie. He is a gentle spirit, a complete gentle puppy, allowing Ellie to chew on him and learn to play. Quaid is an awesome ambassador for the breed, he has accompanied me on numerous home visits, demonstrating what awesome companions BCs make! I adopted Clay from CBBCR in April 2012 (Stephany foster mom). Clay had never lived in a house before he came to CBBCR. Clay has severe anxiety, working with him has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life - I have learned a lot about what makes him tick and a lot about myself in the process Winking face. He will never be a dog that I can pack up and take for an excursion, but that is absolutely fine with me. Seeing Clay happy and relaxed at home is everything that I could have ever hoped for! Clay and Quaid are bestest buddies, running and cavorting in the backyard, wrestling while I am on teleconferences with my colleagues. Clay tolerates Ellie, yet is very protective of her when Quaid gets too crazy in the backyard. I have received outstanding support from Lori and Stephany when I have hit obstacles with the boys.
